Green Drink
Green drinks are all the rage.
Whether you've jumped on the bandwagon or not, there is much to gain from this nutrient-packed health treat.
Green drinks are popular because they are effective at reducing inflammation and improving symptoms such as headaches, skin eruptions, acid reflux, and digestive disorders. They also help with weight management and provide the raw, micronutrients that your body craves.
Green vegetables are full of the healing property, chlorophyll which helps to improve the quality of red blood cells. Chlorophyll, found in plants is also anti-inflammatory and supports vitamin and mineral needs.
Now, I'll share a secret with you. I don't often "juice," but instead, I blend. I prefer a bit of pulp because it's dense with fiber, which is a healthy addition to the drink. My tried and true ingredients can be either juiced or blended. If blending, you will need to add about 12-16 ounces of water before putting the veggies and fruit in the blender.
Ingredients
Please use organic produce to avoid pesticide residue in your beverage. Wash produce before use. After the drink is prepared, store it in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Best when consumed immediately.
1 handful of cilantro (or parsley)
1 handful of bok choi leaves
1 persian cucumbers
1 lime peeled and seeded
1/2 green apple
Enjoy!
