Immune Support

The immune system is regularly stressed, whether by germs or a hectic schedule, leading to a weakened body. A healthy and balanced immune system is crucial for maintaining overall vitality.

Below you’ll find a few of my favorite food items and products to nourish and support the immune system. 

I love the following foods:

  • Ginger

  • Green onion

  • Garlic

  • Clove

  • Cinnamon 

  • Berries

  • Limes

  • Thyme

  • Oregano

  • Echinacea 

  • Dark leafy greens such as chard, boy choi, and arugula.

When my husband or daughter is unwell, I add immune-supportive ingredients to as many dishes as possible.


For example: 

Chan Masala (or Indian chickpea stew) with plenty of extra ginger and garlic to taste

Miso soup with loads of green onions

A hearty Moroccan stew with cloves, ginger and cinnamon

Roasted chicken or roasted portobello mushrooms with garlic and fresh thyme

Roasted squash with garlic and fresh oregano

Limeade with raw honey

Teas made with some combination of cinnamon, clove, thyme or oregano
